The collaboration among the Sekar Kawung Foundation, Paluanda Lama Hamu, and Jaladwara is developing several tourism packages that focus on the process and culture of naturally dyed ikat weaving.
Throughout the tour, tourists will be introduced to and learn about the lengthy ikat-weaving process in East Sumba. They'll learn local wisdom directly from artisans who weave ikat and use natural dyes in Lambanapu and Mauliru.
